Automotive design is mainly concerned with the development and appearance of road vehicles which includes motorcycles, trucks, buses, coaches, and vans. Automotive designers create concepts using sketches and computer-aided design programs for the visual appearance, as well as functional performance, of vehicles. Automotive design is practiced by designers who usually have an art background and a degree in industrial design or transportation design.
Applicants who have passed the engineering degree in any of the streams of Mechanical /Automobile / Production engineering are eligible to apply for the course of automotive design

Below is the basic eligibility for pursuing M.Tech in Automobile Engineering:
Aspirant must have passed B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks.
As eligibility criteria and admission procedure may vary in different institutes as each institute have their own admission procedure and policies.

The basic eligibility for pursuing a Masters degree in Mechanical is successfully completing a bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent degree in relevant branches of engineering. The duration for the course is 2 years.
