BDes is the flagship course of the Institution Candidates are required to appear in the MIT DAT (Design Aptitude Test) to get into BDes programme. BDes is a four-year course offered by the School of Design, Presidency University. The course is offered in six specialisations, namely Game Design, Communication Design, Space Design, Fashion Design, Product Design and Multimedia. Candidates who have passed pre-university/ higher secondary/ Class 12 with Arts, Commerce or Science stream with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category and SC/ ST, Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category students from Karnataka) can apply for BDes course.

The university conducts Presidency’s Design Entrance Test (PDET) for providing admission to BDes course. Apart from the entrance exam, the university also considers Statement of Purpose (SOP). The shortlisted candidates are further called for PI round. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The total tuition fees of BDes is INR 10 Lacs as per an unofficial source. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission.

Yes, admission to Pearl Academy BDes course is entirely entrance-based. The institute conducts its own entrance exam, i.e., PAF for the selection of eligible candidates. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must qualify for the following rounds:

  1. General Proficiency Test (GPT): Evaluates a candidate’s proficiency in the English language, Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.

Further, the applicant shall appear for Pearl Academy Entrance Exam or submit secured scores. Shortlisted students are then called for the interview round. Yes, NMIMS BDes admission 2022 is currently open. Candidates seeking admission need to apply before April 24. After completing the application process, a list of students is then received a call letter for an online studio test, which is scheduled for April 27.
