Hi,
General category students need 60% marks. Otherwise, you can't give IPMAT. For SC/ST/OBC, the required percentage is 55%.

Candidates who have completed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of backward class categories and persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) are also eligible to apply.

Hi,
If are in general category then you cannot give IPMAT but if you belong to SC/ST/OBC then you require 55% only to give IPMAT.

According to me, France will be a better option because of the quality of knowledge, teaching methods and various other education related benefits. This country is one of the top countries of European Union, in terms of food, education, tourism, etc. Therefore, if money is not an issue, which I think is not an issue for you, then France is the best option but coming to part-time jobs and working along with studies, it depends on the Visa and permissions related to it.
