No, there is no provision for pursuing B.Sc Optometry in Bharathiar University as it only offers full time B.Sc in Optometry programme. So, if you want to pursue B.Sc in Optometry through Distance learning you cannot do it in Bharathiar University instead you can do it on IGNOU (India Gandhi National Open University).

The average salary for a BSc in Perfusion Technology in India is between INR 2.97 - INR 15 LPA. Whereas, the average salary for a BSc Optometry in India is between INR 2 - 5.2 LPA.

For those looking for specialised roles with high technical skills,  BSc Perfusion Technology may have an edge in niche placements. However, BSc Optometry provides a wider range of opportunities and better scope for independent practice, making it more versatile.

A BSc in Optometry equips graduates with specialised knowledge in eye care, focusing on diagnosing and treating vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing eye diseases.

In contrast, a BSc in Cardiovascular Technology focuses on cardiovascular health, training graduates to perform diagnostic tests.

The choice may hinge on whether one is more interested in specializing in eye care and vision health (Optometry) or cardiovascular diagnostics and interventions (Cardiovascular Technology).

Physics might hold some importance when it comes to BSc Optometry. Though this course is not entirely a physics specialization. But some topics might require extra effort from your side.

No, you cannot perform surgery after completing a BSc in Optometry. Optometrists are trained to provide comprehensive eye care, including vision testing, prescribing corrective lenses, and diagnosing certain eye conditions, but they are not qualified to perform surgical procedures.

Eye surgeries are performed by ophthalmologists, who are medical doctors who have completed MBBS, followed by specialized training and residency in Ophthalmology.
