The candidates should have passed 10+2 examination of CBSE or equivalent, with English Physics Chemistry and Biology with at least 45 per cent marks. B.Sc. (Hons. ). In Optometry and Ophthalmic Techniques (BSCHOT) is a four-year degree programme and is aimed to develop a multipurpose ophthalmic manpower in the country.

Candidates who are interested in taking admission in B.Sc. In Optometry from optometry colleges in Kerala should have passing Certificate of 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks. Physics, Biology and Chemistry should be major subjects in 10+2.
