In order to be considered eligibile to opt for BTech Civil Engineering, you need to pursue 10 + 2 with minimum aggregate of 50% (for general candidates) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC etc.) and clear the cutoff scores for any one of the following entrance exams:
- JEE Mains
- JEE Advanced
- AP EAMCET
- KCET
- KEAM
- MHT CET
You can also directly enroll yourself into BTech Civil Engineering without giving any of these exams. Some private universities offer direct enrollment into the course on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks.

While it mainly depends on your personal choice, pursuing an M.Tech/MBA after completing your B.Tech can boost your career as it provides you an edge over other candidates.
It has been observed that candidates having a post graduation degree are preferred in the long run and a PG course opens up a vast range of opportunities for them which helps them grow and achieve greater heights of success in life. Rest, it is your choice whether to pursue a post graduation degree after completing B.Tech Civil Engg or not.
