Marks of 10+2 does not affect your ranking as it not counted.
From 2017 onwards, jee has removed, however 75% or top 20 percentile is the eligibility criteria for IIT.
So concentrate over 10+2 studies, as it will ultimately help you in your jee mains.

B.Tech in food technology is not a very old branch and due to this students hesitate to select this. However, with modern lifestyle and requirement of new generation of eating quality and nutritious food, employment chances have increased quite a bit. One needs to score around 100-125 to get this branch. Best wishes to you.
