Hi. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MAHARASHTRA STATE CANDIDATE AND OUTSIDE MAHARASHTRA STATE CANDIDATE FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR OF DEGREE COURSES IN ENGINEERING/TECHNOLOGY

Candidate should be an Indian National

Candidate should have passed the HSC/10 + 2 or equivalent examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from of a recognised Council or Board like ICSE, CBSE, etc. from a recognised institution located in the State of Maharashtra.

Secured minimum 50% marks, i.e. 150 out of 300 in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics +Mathematics +Vocational Subjects (If out of 200, to be taken half i.e., out of 100)= 150/300 added together at HSC/10 + 2 or equivalent in one sitting. In case of candidates of Backward Class categories and persons with disabilities belonging only to Maharashtra State, the minimum requirement is 45% marks, i.e. 135 out of 300.

Candidate should have obtained a valid (i.e. non-zero) score in CET-Main (*depending on the guidelines on conduction of MHTCET by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, Mumbai).

The eligibility criteria for admission at Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering is based on a valid Jee-mains score.

Also, the candidate needs to qualify for class XII (science: PCM) with a minimum of 50%. 

Admission to various departments of engineering is based on the rank and cut-off for that stream which may vary due to multiple factors.

Eg for computer Science engineering the cut-off last year was 20,000-30,000 rank, for electronic and telecommunications it was from 30,000-40,000 and for mechanical the cut-off was 40,000-50,000 but for low branches, you may get admission up to INR 2.5 Lacs - 3 Lacs rank if the seats are unfilled or your luck works you may get top branches at decent rank.

To be eligible for the B.E. B.Tech departments available at Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Hyderabad, for successful enrollment generally admitted students from 10+2 standard or its equivalent with Science stream, with special emphasis on Physics, Chemistry mathematics are most of the time preferred. Candidates who wish to enroll in Mahavir Education Trust's Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC) for a B.E. or B.Tech programme must fulfill the following requirements: Academic Requirement: Complete Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Technical courses in Class 12 or its equivalent, earning at least 45% (or 40% for protected categories) of the possible points. Get a valid score on the MHT-CET or JEE Main entrance exam. Additional requirements: Comply with the engineering admissions rules set forth by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.
