Techno India University in Kolkata has carved a niche for itself in terms of placement success for its B.Tech programs. Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) was founded by the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 29 of 2006 and is recognised under 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Came into existence in 2006, the University was formerly known as Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering, (1987-2006). The university was accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is a member of various professional bodies such as the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), International Road Federation (IRF) and Indian Road Congress (IRC), among others.DCRUST offers UG, PG, and PhD courses.

• Average Salary Packages: While salary packages can vary depending on the company and branch,  the average package for B.Tech graduates at IIST typically ranges between 4.5 LPA and 5.5 LPA,  which is considered decent for fresh graduates in Indore.
• Career Support Services: The institute provides career guidance and placement assistance to students through workshops,  mock interviews,  resume writing sessions,  and industry interaction events.

Potential Drawbacks:

• Competition for Top Companies: Popular branches like CSE and ECE might see intense competition for placements with top companies,  requiring strong academic performance and technical skills to stand out.
• Limited Diversity in Job Profiles: Although several companies visit the campus,  placement opportunities might be concentrated in the IT sector,  with fewer options in specific core engineering domains.
• Salary Packages Compared to Top Colleges: While the average salary packages are satisfactory,  they might not be as high as those offered by premier engineering colleges across India.

The B.Tech placements at IIST are positive, offering decent job opportunities for graduates. However, it's essential to consider individual programme statistics, competition levels, and desired career paths to make a well-informed decision. Remember, placement success also depends on individual efforts, academic performance, and skill development beyond academics.

The School of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University have good placements.

According to the 2023 placement report which you can find on the website of the School of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University the highest and average package offered were INR 38 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA respectively. 

Additionally, you will be happy to know that more than 450 students got the offer and 175+ companies took part in the placement drive.
