VIT University is among the most reputed colleges in South India and has a reputation for providing students with the best undergraduate programs for B.Tech degree.
The training and placement cell of VIT University is highly responsible and attracts a number of companies including the core and IT firms for the placement drives that happens round the year at the university.
For production and industrial engineering branch in VIT University, the average placement package recorded for the year 2017 was around Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakhs where around 50% of the students of the batch got placed in corporate IT companies or marketing firms like the mass recruiters TCS, Wipro, Infosys. Also the highest placement package observed for the year 2017 is around Rs 19 lakhs but the intake of students for such packages is really low being around one or two students per.
Hence I would recommend you to go for some other branch at the University if placements are only what you're looking for or if you are really passionate about the branch you can go for it anytime.

It was established in 1969 and is one of the oldest engineering branches in Manipal and has its reputation.
I can say that faculty is not 100% best, not more than 4 to 5 professors are good with their subjects. Professors are really good and are ready to help you. The course structure is pretty good and equivalent to BITS (HOD used to be from BITS).
Excellent chemical engineering laboratories - Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer and a State of the art Process Control lab. The computer lab equipped with all the engineering software - CAD, Aspen, Matlab.
Practice School Policy. Students can do their final year projects outside the institution like - CSIR labs, Honeywell etc.,
Coming to the important section placements if your goal is to get a job in service/IT industry then it's not a big deal. MIT doesn't have any sustainable relations with process industries so it's a challenge to find core chemical industries on the placement list. To my knowledge, these are the companies I've seen during my 4 years at Manipal:- Jindal Steels, Grasim textiles, Reliance, Mangalore refinery recruited students having 8 and above CGPA.

Highest package offered:- Directi at a salary package of Rs 14.47 Lacs per annum
Average Salary is Rs. 6 Lacs per annum.
Companies visited were Cognizant, Cybage, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Zensar Technologies, Directi, HCL, Amazon, Wipro, etc.
One can get into it by the means of JEE Mains as well as through MHCET.
Talking of the infrastructure, the campus has modern as well as beautiful infrastructure well managed by the administration in the heart of Pune, so one can get a diverse culture of the modern and corporate world.
Most of the job offered in the institute are from the Pune, Mumbai , Ahmedabad and Bangalore headquarters in India, but few global placements are witnessed in the recent placement session.

The placement from TNAU for agricultural engineering is really very nice as compared to many other deemed educational institutions and private institutions teaching agriculture as a part of their syllabus. Being a central government-funded institution, it has a large syllabus and a great pool of knowledge from experienced and skilled faculty members. Also, the college is providing regular workshops and seminars to produce skilled farmers as well as agricultural corporates. Coming to the placement statistics of recent years which is continuously rising accompanied by ever-increasing demand from the industries having an average placement of Rs. 6 lakhs per annum and around highest being up to 12 lakhs which are considered very nice from our non-core branch. One can get admission into the university by cracking its own exam and then after going through a couple of counselling rounds. The placement from TNAU for food processing engineering is not up to the mark as the placement from agricultural as well as farm related streams. The companies are definitely visiting the campus but students getting placed in the stream are not even around 80%.
As a gesture of advice, it is more worth to take admission in private institute from CSE or IT which will going to reward you more than the requested college and stream. For the food processing, engineers are hired by the company for testing the quality and to find the cost cutting measures to manufacture a quality product but this stream is unable to find a major scope and for this purpose, companies prefer hiring the students from foreign universities.
From TNAU, the average placements are 3 lakhs and highest may getting upto 6 lakhs.

Talking about aerospace engineering in IIT-Kanpur. Everyone knows IIT-Kanpur is one of the best government colleges in India.
