Admission to BTech programme is granted based on score obtained by eligible candidates in COMEDK/ AIEEE/ JEE Main. For Karnataka state candidates, KCET score is considered by the institute for granting admission.

T. John Institute of Technology is located in Bangalore and was established in 2004. It has seven Departments such as

• Computer Science and Engineering (established in 2006, total intake of 60students), offering MTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Networks Engineering and PhD in Computer Science and Engineering recognised by Govt. of Karnataka and AICTE, New Delhi (Courses)
• Information Science and Engineering (established in 2007, total intake of 60students), offering BE in Information Science
• Electronics Communication and Engineering (established in 2006, total intake of 120 students), offering BEprogramme in Electronics and Communication Engineering and MTech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems and PhD in Electronics Communication and Engineering, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
• Mechanical Engineering (established in 2009, total intake of 120 students), offering BE in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering (established in 2012, total intake of 60 students), offering BE in Civil Engineering

The cut-off marks for mechanical branches in different colleges vary based on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of seats available, and the reservation criteria.

Here are the estimated CET cut-off marks for mechanical branches in some of the top colleges in Karnataka:

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras:

1. For General Category: CET cut-off: 100-120 marks (out of 200) & JEE Main cut-off: 80-90 marks (out of 360).
2. For SC/ST/OBC Category: CET cut-off: 90-110 marks (out of 200) & JEE Main cut-off: 70-80 marks (out of 360).

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surathkal:

1. For General Category: CET cut-off: 90-110 marks (out of 200) & JEE Main cut-off: 70-80 marks (out of 360).
2. For SC/ST/OBC Category: CET cut-off: 80-100 marks (out of 200) & JEE Main cut-off: 60-70 marks (out of 360).

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU):

1. For General Category: CET cut-off: 80-100 marks (out of 200) & JEE Main cut-off: 60-70 marks (out of 360).
2. For SC/ST/OBC Category: CET cut-off: 70-90 marks (out of 200) & JEE Main cut-off: 50-60 marks (out of 360).

The placemets is better for Bsc Placements: In our college about 70% of students are placed in many streams like MBA and Nautical Field. The average salary offered at IMU is 7 lac per annum with the highest package offered being 12 lac per annum and the lowest is 5.5 lac.he BSc in Nautical Science salary in India ranges from INR 5 - 8 LPA. BSc Nautical Science salary per month in India can range between INR 20,000 to 80,000. The salary after doing BSc in Nautical Science is based on various factors including experience, job location, company, work experience, etc.The beginner can earn up to INR 30,000 to INR 40,000 per month. The average annual salary of an officer in the Merchant Office ranges between INR 1 Lacs and INR 2 Lacs per month after 5-6 years of employment.After completing your bachelor's degree and before joining as a cadet,  you must undergo pre-sea training for one year at Maritime Training Institute. Upon completing this compulsory training, candidates applying for cadet profile will work on the ships and complete 18 months of training.

Placements: Approximately 95% students get placed in our college. Most of the students get packages around 6-8 LPA. Most famous companies recruit from our university like WIPRO, MAHINDRA and CABAANA. Approximately 100% students got internship this year in companies like CRAW, O7 and SPACE WINDOW.
