The JEE Main College Predictor helps you predict colleges that you can get admission to, based on your JEE Main Rank and percentile. You have to use your category rank to check the result for colleges. For NIT, both ranks are considered in JOSSA counseling, CRL, and Category Rank.

First of all, congratulations on your results. The National Testing Agency NTA conducts the JEE exam for admission to premium IIITs and NITs. Recently, it has released the JEE Main Cutoff for 2022, and usually this cutoff is of two types: the qualifying cutoff and the admission cutoff. The admission cutoff for JEE Main will be the opening and closing ranks for each institute and will be released by JoSAA (joint seat allocation authority). Based on the information you have given, you have a chance to get admission into select NITs like the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Rourkela, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in

Yes, you can participate in CSAB counselling without participating in JoSAA counselling. Central Seat Allocation Board will be conducting CSAB to provide admissions into the participating institutes (IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs) on the basis of JEE Main scores.

If you did not fill JEE Mains application form in the OBC category, then the colleges/ branches you will get will be through the Common Merit List (CML) i.e. the General category, then you will not get the benefits of reservation during the time of counselling. However, I would suggest you to drop a mail to the JEE Main support department explaining your situation that you do have the caste Certificate. So, if you belong to OBC NCL category, then after proper online verification the NTA authorities may allow you to change it now and you'll have to produce the original Certificate during counselling.
