BCA Scope

You should have minimum 50% in class 12th (any stream) to do BCA. Some colleges prefer students who have studied Mathematics till class 12th, whereas there are some colleges which give admission to those who had opted Arts or Commerce. There is no difference between regular BCA and lateral entry BCA if the course is done from a recognised university or institute. Lateral entry BCA graduates can get jobs which a regular BCA graduate get. Indian IT industry does not prefer BCA for entry level developer and testers role. BCA graduates may get a junior developer or application support jobs. Syllabus of BCA includes courses on computer languages, data structure, databases and networking, etc. BCA degree course programme is primarily focused on in the field of computer applications. BCA degree can only help you to get only entry-level jobs and will require the acquisition of PG degrees such as MCA for a meaningful career.
