There is no extra challenges in scoring high in CAT because of your degree in Agriculture Engineering. If you have excellent verbal, numerical and analytical skills you will able to score well.

Engineers have very good numerical and analytical abilities because of heavy use of Maths in thier engineering syllabus. Therfore engineers are able to score well in numerical and analytical section in management entrance exams. Any Science and non Science graduate who has similar skills will equally do well.

IITian have very good numerical and analytical abilities because of quality of their education. Those IITian who are able to prepare and have excellent verbal abilities are able to score well in CAT.

For cracking Cat u need to give more n more mock exams and understand ur weaknesses and focus on them. Need to work 6hrs a day minimum for atleast 6months.
Time & Cplc are best coaching institutes.

It's depend on your career interest. If you want to go into a management related career as well as professional job, you may apply in CAT and other entrance exams.
May be a job can effect your preparation so here i suggest you should prepare for CAT first then u may take job.
