Hello Himanshu, if your boards percentage is less than 65% marks (minimum cut-off for SC and ST Candidates), I am sorry to say you cannot get into NITs, but I am not sure about the state government Colleges. You can try for them.

Don't be sad. There are many other good engineering college you can apply for. But, I will recommend you not to join engineering line. But, if you still want to be in engineering, then you can apply for these colleges:
BIT- Mesra, Thapar University, Manipal Institute Of Technology, VIT, Vellore, RV College of Engineering, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, SRM, Chennai and good state government colleges, for example IET, Lucknow.

Hi, you scored well in Mains exam and class 12th marks does not hold any importance in the allotment /selection for college. To get a good college, you must clear the entrance exam for various colleges like VIT, COMEDK, BITS, Pilani, STSTE exams, or find a different field for which you are passionate about. If you want a respective college like the IITs or NITs, prepare for 1-year self/coaching. If you promise full dedication and assure for full hardwork, be confident about yourself and a bright career depend on you attitude and confidence.

Look, you qualify for the admission procedure for sure cause the cut off for mass communication is 35%.
You may have chance to get admission in the following colleges:
St. Xavier's College
Symbiosis, Pune
Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi
NIMC, Delhi
Hinduja College of Commerce
AAFT, Noida.

Yes, you can, since your JEE Mains marks are good, and also your marks in class 12th is also good. So, according to me, I think you will be getting that college if opted for.
