During JoSAA choice filling, include safety, match, and dream colleges. Ranking choices by preference and ensuring realistic options helps secure a seat. Do keep in mind your rank. Check the last ranks trends for at least past five years.

There is no fee to register for JoSAA counselling. However,  Upon receiving a seat for the first time, candidates must remit the seat acceptance fee in the respective round.

No, separate counselling is not held for  NITs, IIITs and GFTIs admission. A single counselling process is held - JoSAA.

There are usually multiple rounds of counselling: main rounds and sometimes spot rounds. The number of rounds depends on seat availability. Students should participate actively to secure a seat.

No, candidates need not pay any fees to participate in JEE Adv counselling. However, once the seat is allotted, candidates will need to pay approximately INR 35,000 (less for reserved category) as a seat acceptance fee and around INR 20,000 as partial admission fees. Both these payments are adjusted in the final fee payment of college.
