Hello Neha, I feel chemical branch of NIT-A would be a better choice. Firstly, it is NIT. Secondly, Chemical engineering. All recruiters flock to IITs, and then to NITs. Other institutions are afterwards.

Hello, hope you are doing well. No, as we can see last year cutoffs your rank does not satisfied with the cutoff of Jadhavpur university. The opening and closing rank for chemical branch is 368 to 836. So, this will be hard to get this college with your rank. Try for different colleges you will get good one.

Sorry, but you can't get any branch in Jadavpur University if you don't belong to West Bengal. If you belong to West Bengal then also you can't get chemical but yes, you can get any other branch.

Chemical Engineering is such a branch of engineering that it is offered only in selected top institutes in India. All IITs are good for it, especially old IITs such as IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur. Many top researchers and professors in Chemical Engineering are born in these institutes. Being a backbone of all fields, good exposure to courses and experiments is essential for becoming a good Chemical Engineer which is offered in IITs. Best Chemical engineering college in India:
IIT Bombay,
IIT Delhi,
IIT Kanpur,
IIT Kharagpur.

Hi Yukta, There is no chemical engineering course in MIT-Pune. It is offered in their sister branch at Alandi (AKA MIT AOE). In their main branch of Kothrud, Pune they offer petrochemical and petroleum engineering which is a very good option. RVCE is an ultimate college in terms of placements. Now, I guess there is no point of comparison if you are talking about the main branch of MIT-Pune. All the best.

Hi Ajeet,
The institute offers Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) course. It's a four years full-time degree programme. They don't provide distance education in chemical engineering.
