(A) SiO? has three-dimensional network structure of Si – O bonds; while carbon dioxide consists of discrete CO? molecules. SiO? is solid, whereas CO? is a gas
(B) Because of its great affinity for oxygen, Si always occurs as the oxide, silica (SiO? ) or in the form of silicates, which are the compounds of SiO? with other metal oxides.
(C) SiO? + 2Mg → Si + 2MgO
(D) The reluctance of silicon to form pπ – pπ bonds to itself is clearly shown by the fact that silicon does not exist in graphite-like structure, but only in diamond like structure.

i = ?

Δ T f = i k f . m

n for ClCH2COOH = 2

Using

  K a = C α 2 1 α           

K a = 0 . 2 * ( 0 . 3 4 4 ) 3 0 . 6 6 = 3 6 * 1 0 3

If the carbonyl compound is sterically crowded, then it will be reluctant to undergo addition reaction. Moreover, attachment of bulkier alkyl group with the carbonyl carbon decreases the partial positive charge resulting into the minimization of attack by R? from RMgBr. So, the order is

Using

Δ G = R T l n K P           

Δ G = R * 3 0 0 l n 1 0 0            

=-R * 300 * 2 * 2.3

K1 = 104

K2 = 1.58 * 103

K3 = 5 * 102

K4 = 102

Overall stability constant K will be

 K = K1 * K2 * K3 * K4

 = 7.9 * 1011

 Now, overall equilibrium constant for dissociation of [Cu (NH3)4]2+ is

K ' = 1 K = 1 7 . 9 * 1 0 1 1 = 0 . 1 2 6 * 1 0 1 1            

= 1.26 * 10-12

So; x = 1 (Rounded off to the nearest integer)
