Dear Dipankar, Mechanical engineering and civil engineering are the two the oldest and most frequently used areas of engineering. Civil engineering is primarily about the construction, planning, and maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, and buildings. Mechanical engineering, on the other hand, is in the simplest terms the technical current that deals with the mechanics of automobiles and other machines. I have many friends who have done B.Tech in Civil and Mechanical at LPU and well settled in their life, Placement at LPU for ME and Civil: Every year more than 550+ companies visit LPU for placements. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the programme. The maximum package available for the ME and Civil programme is 31 LPA and the average package is 4.8 LPA and 4.2 LPA respectively. Dear Ashish, With better and broader subjects, Mechanical engineering offers better scope than civil engineering. Civil engineering primarily targets a field whereas Mechanical engineering can be further divided into a variety of fields. My cousin did B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at LPU. I will tell you why mechanical engineering is better at LPU. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure, LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions, and accreditation down the lane and marks itself amongst the few of the top private universities.
