Hello Prasenjit Saha, different states have put different conditions for eligibility for admission to Diploma after 10th class. Also the minimum marks to be obtained in 10th is different for different categories of students. This information you can find out from the webpage of the directorate of technical education of your state. If you are not in the zone of eligibility then perhaps you can go on to complete your 12th, obtain good marks in the examination and then once again seek admission either for Diploma or for regular graduation in engineering. Best wishes to you.

Therefore I am doubtful as to whether you are eligible to get admission under, atleast, lateral mode in this branch. But I would advise you visit the webpage of the directorate of technical education of your state to find out which branches of engineering a student can get under lateral mode of admission after completing Diploma in different branches. However you can treat this Diploma as equivalent to 12th and then appear for the entrance examination conducted by your state for admissions to engineering colleges
