Hello Rumit Kumar Singh, it's very nice to hear from you that you have already qualified GATE. The fees charged by different institutions are not dependent on score in GATE but on a host of different factors. Hence these differ from institution to institution. You would be better advised to download brochure of your intended college to know about this aspect. Majority of students who go for M.Tech get some stipend or scholarships. But for this also you need to obtain information from your probable college. Best wishes to you.

Dear Aspirant, Civil engineering primarily targets a field whereas Mechanical engineering can be further divided into a variety of fields. This makes it a better choice for the students who are looking for higher studies in the desired direction. I have many friends who have completed B.Tech in Mechanical and Civil Engineering at LPU, Jalandhar, Being alumni of LPU, I highly recommend LPU for any engineering programme. Dear Nupur, Both are evergreen branches of engineering and better. It depends on your interest which programme you want to choose. I have many friends who did these programmes at LPU and are well settled in their careers. LPU offers more than 200+ programmes every year in different fields
Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. Dear Ashish, With better and broader subjects, Mechanical engineering offers better scope than civil engineering. I don't know about Mumbai but I am aware about Punjab which is having Lovely Professional University. Placement: 19.75 LPA (Sobha Realty) was the highest salary package last year.
