If someone have done Diploma, then he or she can get direct admission in 2nd year of B.Tech. It is known as lateral entry course. Universities like JNU, Lovely Professional University, and Anna University etc. provides lateral entry programmes for Diploma holders. So, you can check the other information related to it on the official website of these universities.

Your IELTS scores are upto the mark. Make sure in all modules you have scored 6 or above bands. Coming to your CGPA, if I convert it into percentage it would be around 57 to 59%. Canada universities Masters requirement is 60% above. I would recommend you to apply to colleges in Canada for graduate certificate programs. Firstly, every university must be approved by UGC. Now, if your course is not approved by AICTE, then it may or may not create some problems for you in future. If you are studying in a deemed university or in CAMPUS of the university (not in its affiliated colleges) approved by UGC, then even if your course is not approved by AICTE, it will not create any problem. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. They might apply for approval from AICTE just to add another feather to their cap.
