As you openly told about your grade, it's good. It mainly depends on your basics, if you like programming and debugging then you can choose CSE. Mechanical will be the easiest branch after CSE as we can answer the questions from seeing the drawings. You can opt for the civil branch also if you like drawing and planning.

Hello Kunal,
Yes, as in other states Chhattisgarh too has got many colleges which give a lateral entry for those who have cleared their Diploma exam. There are many colleges in Bhilai also where you can seek admission to the second year of four year degree course of engineering after completion of your Diploma in civil engineering. But for getting admission definitely, I will suggest that you should score well in your Diploma since the merit list will be based on the marks obtained in Diploma.

I also belong from the same field. So, I would suggest you to just be thorough with your core subjects, focus more on basics and do your internship programs carefully and you will be done by the time of MS. All the best.

You have two options, either you can do a full-time B.Tech, as a lateral entry or also you can get the same through distance learning. But, I would suggest full-time course will be a better option from a recognized institute.

If you looking for a book that you will carry in your hand everywhere then kindly, please ignore this answer. If you choose construction, then referring the book A to Z of Practical Building Construction and its Management would forever be helpful to you for life. Not only will it serve you as guide but also teaches you the procedure required to be performed. Both step by step along with formulations and analytical methods are also explained. Perhaps, one could consider this book as Bible for Construction where it covers every nook/corner of entire construction cycle. That is from planning, execution and handing over. In fact, this boo

Hello Dheena,
It is very heartening to know your desire for doing Diploma in civil engineering. You are working abroad and you are seeking to do Diploma in civil engineering in distance mode from KSOU. Is that right? Now KSOU is an authorised agency or university department and hence any certificate awarded by this institution is valid across India and abroad anywhere for all purposes, but perhaps while doing this you will need to come to India appear for the exam as I think even now the exams are not conducted online. There is one more method by which you can be an engineer, that is by obtaining associateship of the concerned institut
