Its a matter about perception. There are some people who join this branch without interest to become a civil engineer but later realised that its not their cup of tea so they either left their education or else do job not related to their field. For them its just a matter about degree and if you ask them about this branch you will get answers like its tough, difficult, boring, not have much scope in future, no life etc. But their are some who pursue their passion, for them this is the most amazing branch. You have to imagine the entire structure and predict its nature or problems it will face in future by sitting on your bench and doing some analytical methods and after that execute your actions on site. They take it as a challenge and build the most beautiful design which astonish the world. They know the value of Structural analysis, fluid mechanics and Geotech, because they love to play with this. If you ask them their opinion about it theyll say amazing, marvellous, challenging, thrilling, satisfying etc. I am the one who fall in this category.
