After some time, an institute becomes secondary and what you learn remains important. So, if you are unable to fetch a good college, take admission in any college in a course of your choice.

Hello Vardhan,
Fortunately, the issue of domicile has not raised it's ugly head in PG courses in engineering. Yes, you can seek admission in BITS, based on your BE from Gujrat. Of course you have to follow the procedure required at BITS.

Hi Abhishek Lal,
You can apply for a Bachelor's degree programme first, if you meet the admission requirements then you can get admission. Good academic grades, IELTS score, strong SOP, LORs, etc., will be required.

Hello Prashanth,
There are many instituions offering BE in any branch via distance education mode. In this there are no entrance exams! But a word of caution. Recently SC of India has simply cancelled degrees in engineering obtained by students via distance education mode more than 10 years back. Also any course that demands great amount of practicals, how can it be done via distance education? My advise is to be away from such course.

You can not directly apply for the Bachelor of architecture course after the Diploma course in civil engineering. You have one chance to get admission in B.Arch offering colleges. That is, you can apply for the entrance exams like JEE after completion of your Diploma. After securing a decent rank in the same, you will get admission for the B.Arch course in the NIT's or in the private universities. Also, if you score a decent total in the JEE exam, you will get admission in the IITs for a Bachelor course in architecture.

Eligibility Candidates applying for this course are required to have acquired 10+2/equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 45%. Candidates who have completed a Diploma in civil engineering are also eligible to apply for this course through lateral entry. Along with these requirements, candidates are also needed to appear for entrance examinations to get admitted into this course.
