Yes, if you have diploma in civil engineering you can surely get lateral entry in B.Tech architecture but some colleges has some colleges on their own rules. Most universities usually take the lateral entry for civil engineers to the B.Tech architecture you can surely search for that.

In mathematics, integration and derivation and geometric section are the most important in civil engineering. In physics, a measurement is the most important topics in civil engineering. In chemistry, properties of solid elements are the most important topics for civil engineering.

Yes, Diploma holders can take admission into 2nd year of B.Tech through lateral entry scheme.
Several institutes conducts admission through CET, or different states conducts a different type of entrances for it (example-west Bengal conducts its own entrance for it).
However, candidates can also appear for AIEEE and IIT-JEE.
