Among civil engineering and mechanical engineering, the one which has better scope is mechanical engineering only. An recent days, architecture courses (B.Arch) has replaced civil engineering.
Mechanical engineering has scope in all fields. You can get jobs in robotics field also and if you study it in a good college then you can get core companies easily but whatever field you choose to study, you must be updated and skilled to get placed in a good job with a fair salary.
All the best.
