In Maharashtra, admissions to all engineering colleges is through MHT CET. Yes, you can get civil engineering.

Civil engineers also do inspection of raw materials incoming materials like mortar, sand, RCC, concrete and mortar mixture. The main focus of civil engineers is design. There is also a scope of quality assurance or quality control in civil branch.

Yes, it's surely a good idea to pursue PG Diploma. You will have to appear for and clear GATE with good score then only you will get admission in a good institute since recruiters normally come only to good and reputed colleges.
