I don't think you'll get a seat in civil directly but you can give your name for the waitlist or go for branch change at the end of 1st year. You might get it. Civil gets over around 15k.

kindly check the seat matrix available at the official website of COMEDK. you have a fair chance of getting ee, mech, civil in these colleges. getting e&c is a little bit difficult.

Civil Engineering has lot of field work because of which civil engineering was preferred by male students only. But nowadays even female students are doing it. Therefore, if female students are not averse to working in field areas under tough conditions, they can definitely do B.Tech Civil Engineering at IIT or NIT.
