You can choose between NIT Silchar and NIT Agartala for B.Tech Civil Engineering (CE), both of which are top NITs. Here are some criteria you can use to choose where to apply for admission:
1. NIRF Ranking: At the 38th spot in the NIRF rankings, NIT Silchar is placed ahead of NIT Agartala. NIT Agartala is ranked 80th on the same list.
2. Possibility of admission: Based on the JEE Mains closing rank, admission to NIT Agartala is comparable easier than that to NIT Silchar. In contrast to NIT S, where the final rank for the CE branch was 37548, NIT A had a closing rank of 43737.

Hello Shriyansh Yadav, I can understand your angst and anxiety. Unfortunately, there are only about 50000 seats in all NIT's put together. So, you can imagine your status with CRL of about 1.76L. I am afraid that with this ranking, you are least likely to get admission in any GFTI. My sincere advise us to relook as to why engineering? If you still desire, I suggest that you take a break of one year and prepare exclusively for JEE Mains examination. I am sure with this; you will score much better and will likely get branch and college if your desire. Best wishes to you.

Don't do it. People from TIER-1 colleges are not getting placed. Most of the people switch to IT, consulting or finance. Those who wake up late ( people like me) prepare for ESE and state engineering exams, and live with constant job insecurity for eternity. Core engineering is a big no in India. Join Computer Science or Electronics in any good engineering college in India. You will have at least something to work for. In CSE and electronics, although you are in TIER-3 colleges, you have some hope in life. Civil engineering is dead. !

You can select any branch based on your interests because they are both good. To help you choose the best Diploma programme for you, here is a quick comparison:

  1. Subjects: In order to obtain your Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE), you study testing materials, testing materials, and construction management. You study digital electronics, transducers, electronic devices, and circuits in the Diploma in Electrical Engineering (DEE).
  2. Job descriptions: You have the choice of working as a surveyor, a conservation assistant with ASI, or a geotechnical engineer with a DCE. You can work as a junior engineer, a junior engineer in CAD, or a technica
