In the Carnot engine, the maximum possible efficiency operates between two temperatures. It is an ideal heat engine. The efficiency of the Carnot engine only depends on the temperatures of the heat source including T1 and T2. These temperatures should be in Kelvin. No real engine can exceed the efficiency of the Carnot engine.
