S = 2 1 + k = 1 2 1 ( z k + 1 z k ) 3 = ( z k + z ¯ k ) 3 = 8 ( R e ( z k ) ) 3

( A s | z | = 1 1 z = z ¯ )

S = 2 k = 1 2 1 c o s k π + 6 k = 1 2 1 c o s k π 3 + 2 1

= 2 ( 1 ) + 6 R e ( α + α 2 + α 3 ) + 2 1

Where α = e i ( 2 π / 6 )

= 2 ( 1 ) + 6 ( 1 2 1 2 1 ) + 2 1

= 8 + 2 1 = 1 3
