There are 4 campuses of the University of Helsinki. These are Kumpula Campus, the City Centre Campus, Meilahti Campus, and Vikki Campus. The City Centre Campus is the largest campus of this university. To enjoy the campus life, international students access to 250+ student organizations. The best way for Indian students to find on or off-campus housing near Aalto University is via AYY (Aalto University Student Union) and HOAS (Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region) portal. These offer affordable student apartments (EUR 600 per month). Students can contact them via email.
One can also check private student rentals in Finland or get in touch with Indian student groups in Finland using social media. It is advised to apply for housing early as the demand for student housing is high.

Yes, Aalto Uni serves Indian and vegetarian food on its campus. According to student reviews from an unofficial source, classic Indian food is available under the title of Nepalese food. The Aalto Uni campus dining facilities serve atleast 1 vegetarian food option every day.
For better variety in Indian food options, students may have to look off-campus.

Carry only the essential items like clothing, electronics, medications, and some personal documents. Mentioned below are the items Indian students need to carry:
- Documents: Passport, Finland student visa, admission letter, tuition fee payment receipt, travel insurance and medical records

No, students cannot defer the start of their studies at Aalto. The Finnish Universities Act does not allow the same.
However, exceptions to this (parental leave or illness) do exist. To know more about exceptions to this rule, students are advised to check the Enrolment page for Stauatory absences on the official Aalto Uni website.

Yes, students can go on an internship abroad or an exchange programme during their studies at Aalto Uni. For that, a tuition fees does apply. However, if a student is on a scholarship, the internship or exchange programme will be covered under that.

For now, the Aalto University does not offer scholarships that cover living costs. The university only offers financial cover for tuition fees. Students will have to rely on external scholarships to study in Finland that may cover a part or the complete cost of living.
