Yes, the university campus is generally considered safe for all students.
Munich is known for its low crime rate, with only 37.58 crimes being reported for every 1,000 people, per unofficial sources, placing it among the safest European cities.
While isolated incidents can happen anywhere, they are usually very rare in the city & do not paint the actual picture of the overall atmosphere in the city.

No, the Technical University of Munich does not guarantee student accommodation. It does not maintain dormitories of its own, & the nearby residential halls are run by the Munich Student Union. The institute does however, help students in finding accommodation in Munich, through its online portal, which lists a number of apartments that can be picked up by students.

The institute aims to create & promote a healthy environment for Indian students studying in the city.

Unfortunately, the Technical University of Munich fees is to be paid in full at the start of the semester, & cannot be paid in installments.
There is no option to pay your fees after landing a job either.
Students do however, have the option to apply for financial aid in the form of student loans.

Yes, you can change your programme at a later point in time during your studies.
To do that, all you need to do is, follow the steps listed below:
· Reapply via TUMonline within the designated deadlines
· Complete the normal process of admission
· Satisfy the requirements as for all other students
· The change of programme would be applicable from the start of the new semester

Applicants who satisfy the following eligibility criteria are eligible for scholarships at Technical University of Munich:
- Must demonstrate financial need, by submission of valid bank statements & income documents of student or parents
- Good academic records
- Not eligible for BAfog due to country of origin
- Submit a bachelor's or master's thesis not before Jun 30 (summer semester) & Dec 31 (winter semester)
- Enrolled in 3rd semester of UG studies at TUM
- Enrolled in 2nd semester of PG studies at TUM or 1st semester of PG studies, provided the UG degree was attained at TUM
