Patna Women's College is a constituent college of Patna University. It was established in 1940 to impart quality education in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, and Computer Applications at UG and PG levels. It was the first institution of higher learning opened to cater to the educational needs of women in Bihar. At present, Patna Women College offers B.A. B.Sc. B.Com B.A. BCA B.M.C. B.Ed M.A. MCA and PG Diploma courses in various disciplines. Admission to all UG, PG and PG Diploma courses is based on the Patna University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) conducted by the college followed by an Interview and counseling. Final admission confirmation is subject to course-wise merit list and availability of seats. Final admission to B.Ed is subject to counseling conducted by Patna University. There is no entrance exam for M.A. (Home Science) programme. Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the last qualifying examination. The admission form can be filled out online followed by final submission at college. The application fee can be paid By Credit/ Debit Card or through Challan.
