An analyst is a specialist in data analysis processing both facts and figures to gauge trends, get gainful insights and make forecasts using predictive analysis. Most people tend to use the two terms business analyst and data analyst interchangeably. Though this can be applied in terms of smaller businesses the business analyst in larger enterprises actually covers both systems and data analysis. The scope of the B.A. Is not limited to being only a data analyst but appropriates roles of a data scientist too. What both the analyst and B.A. Do with the data is entirely different and their job skills, the environment of operation and technical skills will definitely differ.

It is also more disciplined than computer Science, applying more systematic practices to help ensure that products are reliable and safe. Software engineers has opportunities in the field of Development, testing, software architect, quality control, project management, business analysis and account management, etc. Whereas web designing is the process which allows visitors to access the web pages at one platform with several images, texts, links, graphics, etc. Web designers use creative graphic designs and design web pages in a way to make the portal look attractive and easy to use. Hi,I hope you are doing good. This might be a late reply since you posted your question 2 months ago.
What's making you change your stream of carrier? you want to continue in the fashion designing field or move back to software once you finish your degree?
If you're really interested in fashion designing, Go full-time. I don't think they offer part-time courses.
Assuming that you have done your Bachelors, Here are Postgraduate options for you: after BTech, you can do M.Ftech(master of fashion technology) or M.Des(master of design)
- For M.Des,you are supposed to have a diploma in design(from NIFT or NID's) or any other undergraduate degree.(12th+4 rule).
- For M.Ftech, you should have a BE/Btech degree or undergraduate degree from NIFT or NID's.
- CEED, which takes admission through GATE is only for engineering designing. If you are interested in apparel designing.
- For other designing fields like interior designing and industrial designing. Your BTech degree will help.
