Hello Kshitiz, these days many institutions prefer GATE ranking for giving admission to postgraduate courses. Hence MTech in data science also would be available in many institutions across India only after student has cleared his GATE examination.

In case of CIT there are 60 seats for M.Sc. Data Science and there are 40 seats in PSG Tech for the same course. In CIT the admission takes place on the basis of the cut-off obtained in the board exams, ENTRANCE EXAM CONDUCTED BY THE INSTITUTE followed by THREE LEVEL OF INTERVIEWS. If you clear this you will get admitted into the college. AND, IN THE CASE OF EXCEPTION IF YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED IN DATA Science or, IF YOU ARE WHOLE MINDED THAT YOUR FUTURE IS PURELY BASED ON COMPUTERS, THEN GO FOR THE MANAGEMENT SEATS. nope. students with b sc are not eligible to take part in any masters in technology program be it from any university they come from. it is exclusively for b tech students and not for bsc. best of luck.

As far as I know, distance program might be available there in symbiosis Pune. And for that you first need to sit for SNAP and clear the exam well and good.
