No, after BAMS you can't be dermatologist like in modern medical. For that you must do MBBS and then MD in Dermatology. BAMS doctors only learn Ayurveda way of treatment.

Still, they can do Ayurvedic dermatology and help with skin problem using herbs and natural method. But they are not allowed to do modern dermatology things like laser or advance allopathic treatment.

A dermatologist is primarily a medical doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the skin, hair, and nails. While dermatologists are not surgeons in the traditional sense, they are trained to perform various surgical procedures when necessary.

These include skin biopsies, excision of skin cancers, mole removal, and certain cosmetic surgeries such as laser treatments or dermabrasion.

However, more complex procedures, like reconstructive surgery, are typically handled by dermatologic surgeons or plastic surgeons who have additional specialised training.

These involve short-term Diploma or certificate courses but are limited to cosmetic procedures and do not qualify one as a dermatologist.

Yes candidates can absolutely do so. However, route is significantly longer. They must take NEET UG after passing BHMS and then complete their MBBS before taking NEET-PG. They can pursue a Dermatology career after clearing NEET PG with a high score.
