Hi Amit, MD Dermatology is a final degree. MD Medicine is not as you can go on to do DM and then a Fellowship. For example you could do DM Cardiology and then a Fellowship in Cardiac EP. So, as far as further studies and sub-specialisation is concerned, MD Gen Med has better prospects.
But if by prospects you mean future earnings, then it is a matter of luck and chance. You could go on to become a highly successful dermatologist or a middling cardiologist.
