MDes is offered by MIT Institute of Design. The duration of course is two-years. Admissions are based on two-phased selection process. Students who clear Phase I are eligible to appear for Phase II. Phase I can be done online at home. It includes filling of application form and submitting Portfolio and SOP. In Phase II, applicants are required to appear for a Studio Test held at university campus in Pune. Applicants who clear Studio Test are eligible to give Interviews. The final selection and merit list is based on combined scores of both Phases.

The MIT Institute of Design offers MDes in full-time mode. Total course duration is two-years. It is divided in four semesters. Eligibility is Graduation with minimum 50% aggregate. Minimum marks for reserved categories is 40%. Admissions are based on Phase I & II performance. Phase I application has to be submitted along with Portfolio and SOP before last date. Phase II includes a Studio Test and Interview conducted offline.

For admission, candidates first have to fill an application form. Portfolio and SOP submission is compulsory for admission. Based on these two, the university releases list of selected students for next phase. In phase II, there are two tests. A Studio Test followed by Interview. Candidates who clear both phases are selected.

The minimum aggregate in Graduation should be 50%. For SC/ST/OBC/EWS, minimum 45% aggregate is required. Admission process includes two phases. Candidates who perform well in both are selected. Phase I selection is based on Portfolio and SOP. Phase II selection depends on performance in Studio Test followed by Interview.

As per official website, cutoffs for admission are not available. The university decides the cutoff and minimum score in Phase I & II. Candidates who clear Phase I can appear for Phase II. Phase II is conducted in Pune campus. Phase I selection is based on Portfolio and SOP submitted by applicant. The final selection in course depends on the overall performance in both phases.

Admissions are based on performance in Phase I & Phase II. In phase I, applicants have to make a portfolio and SOP. These are submitted along with the application form. Based on this, the university selects some students for next phase. For phase II, all selected students have to report to MITID, Pune. A Studio Test and Interview is conducted there as phase II. Final selection is based on overall performance.

Registrations for admission starts from October. The application deadline is February last week. The selection procedure includes two phases. Candidates who clear Phase I can appear for Phase II. Phase I consists of Portfolio and SOP submission. Selection in Phase I is based on applicant's creativity and vision. The selected students have to appear for Phase II. It consists of a Studio Test and Personal Interview.

Phase II is likely to be conducted in May. Applications for admissions start from October. To appear for Phase II exam, candidates need to clear Phase I. It includes submission of application form along with a Portfolio and (SOP). The university selects students based on their application form. There are two parts in Phase II, Studio test and Interview. Both of these are conducted in MITID campus, Pune.

Application forms are open from October. The deadline to fill application form is around last week of February. The Phase I includes submission of Portfolio and Statement of Purpose (SOP). Both have to be submitted along with application form. After this, the university selects number of students for Phase II. Then, a Studio test and Interview is conducted on-campus. Phase II is conducted in May.

Yes, hostels are provided by the university. The total hostel fee per year is around INR 2 lakh. It is not mandatory to opt for hostels. However, if opted, mess & laundry charges are compulsory. As per Shiksha reviews, hostel rooms are provided in twin and triple sharing occupancy. Other facilities like furniture, Wi-Fi, laundry, mess, etc. are also available.
