To apply for the MFM programme, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or must have passed an undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/ NID. Admission to all the programmes is based on a valid score obtained in NIFT Entrance Exam, which is divided into three parts, Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test (SAT)/ Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/ PI) round.

Yes, Delhi Technological University offers a four-year BDes programme to students in the field of Design. DTU started offering the course in Fashion Design specialisation (Check Top Fashion Design Colleges in India here) and it mentioned about starting Film Design specialisation. NIFT offers around 4500 seats every year, including seats for all categories. So you do have a good chance under reserved categories to get admission.
