To apply for the MFM course, candidates can follow the step-wise procedure given below:

Step 1: Candidates need to log on to the official website of NIFT.

Step 2: Click on the ‘admissions’ tab and then on ‘online registration for NIFT admissions'.

Step 3: In case you are a new user, then create a ‘Login’ and fill in all the details asked and then click on ‘submit’ (Note: Details once submitted, cannot be changed).

Step 4: Fill out the complete application form and upload signatures and a recent passport-size photograph clicked against a light background.

Step 5: Candidates then need to pay an application fee of Rs 2000 for GN/OBC/EWS Category and Rs 1000 for SC/ST/PHP candidates. This can be done through credit card/debit card/demand draft.

Step 6: Check the status of the application form on the official website.

Step 7: Once the dates are out, candidates need to download and take a printout of the admit card.

Admission to the offered courses is based on merit in the NIFT Entrance Exam (except for certificate programmes). NIFT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology to shortlist candidates for the NIFT participating institutes. The written exams comprise the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). BDes and MDes candidates need to appear in both CAT and GAT.
