Many courses are structured to provide opportunities to work on projects with leading fashion designers, so you should take advantage of this. There may also be opportunities to take a year out in industry, as part of a sandwich degree or to gain work experience in Europe or the USA before starting work in the UK.

The National Institute of Design conducted the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program was conducted on April 30, 2023. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des program was held from March 20 onward. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program comprises a Studio Test that was conducted in a center-based mode. Meanwhile, the DAT Mains for the M.Des program comprises a Studio Test and Interview.
The final results of NID DAT 2023 will be declared by considering the performance of the candidate in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Final results for the B.Des program will be announced on May 18, while for the M.Des program, final results will be announced on May 16, 2023.
