Hi Jayant,
As last year I got admission in UVIC Canada but due to some problem couldn't make it, so I guess I can help you with the procedure.
A. Join Facebook group for people who are looking for MS in Canada.
B. Write GRE and TOFEL /IELTS and get good score.
C. By that time get all the transcripts and reference letter from your undergraduate college i.e. the engineering college, if you have work experience get letter of recommendation, either from your manager or team lead, and ask the person who referred you to respond any mail, if they get from the respective colleges.
D. Do deep and detail research about colleges.

An aspirant for electrical engineering should start his/her academic career in Science at intermediate level i.e. plus two (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). After completion of class 12th or plus two in science stream one has to sit for entrance examination conducted both at national and state level (e.g. IITJEE, AIEEE, BITSAT etc.). After qualifying the entrance exam he/she would take up BE/BTech in Electrical engineering which is of four years duration.
One can also go for Diploma program after completion of his/her class 10th. Here he/she will be recognized with the status of a junior engineer.
