There is no such thing as some branch is superior or better than the other. Every branch have their own scopes and opportunities.
As far as your question is concerned. I will let you know some of the core differences between ECE and CSE branches.
ECE branch deals with microprocessors, microcontrollers and embedded programming. In this you can specialize in VLSI, robotics, automation, etc.
CSE branch deals with programming and coding in the software world. You have to develop innovative codes for solving software related issues. In this you can specialize in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, IOT, etc.

For 2023, cut off was 13889 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering in NIT Kurukshetra - National Institute of Technology.
