Generally the candidates are not recommended to entirely skip portions of the BITSAT syllabus, but there are strategic ways to approach your studies:
- Analyze previous years' BITSAT question papers to understand frequently tested topics and subjects.
- f you're pressed for time, consider selectively skipping very niche or low weightage topics. However, do this only after a thorough understanding of the weightage distribution and at your own risk.
- Even for skipped topics, have a basic understanding of the concepts.

Yes, JEE Main counselling conducted by JoSAA does include mock seat allotments. It usually conducts two rounds of mock allotments before the actual seat allotment rounds. This conduct of mocks familiarize candidates with the process and allows them to see which colleges they might get based on their filled choices and expected ranks. But KCET training by itself is insufficient to succeed in JEE Main. The primary JEE questions will be more conceptual, therefore getting ready is crucial. The Karnataka Examination Authority administers the state-level Karnataka Common Entrance Test, or KCET (KEA). To get admitted to undergraduate programmes such as B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc., B.Pharma, etc., applicants may take the KCET exam.
