The GATE exam cities listed under IIT Madras are as follows -

• Andhra Pradesh - Chirala, Chittoor, Guntur, Kadapa, Nandyala, Nellore, Ongole, Tirupati
• Kerala - Alappuzha, Aluva-Ernakulam, Attingal, Chengannur, Kollam, Kothamangalam, Kottayam, Kanjirapally, Thiruvanathapuram, Muvattupuzha
• Pondicherry - Puducherry
• Tamil Nadu - Chennai South, Chennai West, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Dindigul, Erode, Kanyakumari-Nagercoil, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Namakkal, Pollachi, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Thanjavur, Theni, Thoothukudi, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Virudhunagar
• Telangana - Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kodad, Kothagudem, Nizamabad, Suryapet, Warangal. 

Candidates can change the GATE exam city during the GATE application form correction at the GOAPS portal. The step-by-step process to change the GATE exam city is as follows -

• Visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website
• Login to your account with your Enrollment ID/Email Address, Password and Captcha
• Click on Change Examination City
• After making changes to the GATE 2025 examination city, you need to make a payment of Rs 500. The payment can be done through net banking/credit/debit card/UPI. 

The allotted GATE exam city address and details will be updated on the GATE hall ticket. Candidates can download the GATE admit card on January 2, 2025. 

The list of the available exam cities for GATE exam under IIT Delhi Zone are as follows- 

• Haryana - Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar
• Jammu and Kashmir - Jammu-Samba, Srinagar
• Madhya Pradesh - Indore, Ujjain
• Ladakh - Leh
• Uttar Pradesh - Greater NOIDA, Mathura
• New Delhi - Delhi
• Rajasthan - Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Dausa, Jaipur, Hanumangarh, Sikar, Udaipur, Kota, and Jodhpur

Candidates can choose three cities from the list of the GATE exam cities. All the three choices must be from the same GATE 2025 zone. For example - if a candidate chooses a particular city from the particular zone as the first choice, then he/she will be able to choose the second and third exam city will be from the same zone opted. 

If you have already acceptd seat via the JoSAA counselling but want to withdraw the admission then you can do so. The withdraw option is made available starting from the 2nd round and up to the second last round of seat allocation.

If a candidate withdraws a seat, the candidate’s allotted seat will be cancelled and offered to another candidate in a subsequent round of counselling. The candidate withdrawing shall be excluded from the JoSAA process, which means the candidate shall not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allocation (if any). 

Seat acceptance fee will be refunded to these candidates after deducting the withdrawal processing charges of INR 7000. Thus the candidate will forfeit the eligibility for admissions to any of the institutes through JoSAA.

IIT Roorkee will be conducting the GATE 2025 exams on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The list of exam cities available under IISc Bangalore are as follows -

• Andaman and Nicobar - Port Blair
• Andhra Pradesh - Ananthapuramu, Kurnool
• Karnataka - Bagalkot, Ballari, Belagavi, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru South, Bidar, Chikkamangaluru, Chikkaballapur, Davanagere, Hassan, Hubballi/Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Kolar, Mandya, Manipal-Udupi, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Puttur, Shivamogga, Tumakuru
• Kerala - Angamaly, Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kasaragod, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Payyanur, Thrissur, Vatakara, Wayanad.
• Telangana -Hyderabad, Medak, Nalgonda

Candidates can opt for at least three exam cities for GATE, while filling out the application form. The last date to submit the GATE application form was October 3, 2024 (with regular fees) and October 7, 2024 (with extended fees). Candidates can also find the GATE exam center details on the hall ticket which was released on January 7, 2025.
