To get admitted in B.E. /B.Tech course at MEC-Muthiammal Engineering college, you have to appear in TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions).
And then according to merit of students, counselling will be done. You will get admission if you come in merit.

For the courses B.E. /B.Tech at MEC - Muthiammal Engineering College, the fees is around INR 2.2 Lacs for whole course. This is the tution fees. There are some other charges also, so fees may vary to INR 2.5 lakhs.
For M.Tech programms the tution fees is around INR 40,000 to 50,000 and for MCA it is INR 35000.
Hostel fees may vary from INR 50,000 to 80,000 according to what course you choose.

The TNEA counseling is conducted by the Anna University. It is conducted for all colleges in Tamil Nadu, not only for MEC - Muthiammal Engineering College. Generally, results are announced 2-3 months after the process has been started. For example, the process was started on 6th May 2024, and the results were announced on 13th August 2024. In 2025, the process was started on 7th May and the results are expected to be released by the 1st week of July.

You should start your preparation as early as possible. You have a good amount of time in hand to cover all the sections of the exam syllabus. Do a thorough revision of all the important concepts. You must start at least 8 to 10 months before the final exam is scheduled to take place to increase your chances of getting shortlisted and grabbing a seat at a top college for the M Tech in Mechanical Engineering course.

To study the M Tech in Mechanical Engineering course, you must have at least 55% marks in BTech Mechanical Engineering or a related field and clear relevant entrance tests like GATE, Andhra Pradesh PGECET, CEETA PG, etc. to grab a seat at a decent college in India.
