Depending on your particular skillset and area of interest, either may be lucrative. When comparing degrees, Computer Science students tend to focus on software, whereas Computer Engineering students learn more about hardware. That, as I alluded to previously, is a matter of personal interest. Review the course descriptions to see which ones are more manageable for you before applying for admission. After 12 years of study, the average student will need another 4 years to get a Bachelor's degree.

Computer engineering (CE) is concerned with a computer's physical components, such as its motherboard, processor, and other internal components. Computer Science CS is similar to search engine optimization (SEO), but it entails a broader set of skills and knowledge, since CS professionals work to develop compilers and other similarly complicated pieces of software and algorithms. As a software engineer (SE), you need to be adept at matching programming languages to problems, and as an engineer, you need to solve everyday issues such as designing a database, setting up a network, or building the infrastructure for a company as the size

In India, there is a great deal of potential for a career in software engineering. Software development is a popular profession in India, and for good reason: there are more than 26,400,000 software developers in the world. More importantly, a study by McKinsey Global estimates that 65 million new employment would be made possible in India thanks to digital technology by the year 2025. In other words, the Indian market provides enough evidence that a career in software engineering is the way to go.

While the majority of Indian students have their sights set on a core stream, many students from less-privileged backgrounds prioritize their passions and interests by opting out of the core streams. As the AI curriculum and course structure are not yet fully implemented according to the demands of the corporates and to attain a high wage package, the AI placement rate is not more than 5 LPA. Even while this is the norm, it is still possible to get a lucrative position, with the highest reported offer being approximately 11 LPA for chemical engineering and AI. You'll need a lot of hard work if you want to get to that level.
