Hello Submit So, I can tell you about my first year fees as well as the fees that I paid for this year (second year), but let me tell you few things first-
There are two categories of courses in VIT that is category A and B and electrical engineering falls under category A. (Computer Science core, IT and Mechanical Engineering (Automobile) are few courses that are in category B). VIT fees changes every year for the freshers that is the 4 year fees structure that they propose for you could be higher or lower than ours (In my case my fees structure is lesser than those of students 1year senior than me).
2 Lacs per annum tuition fees
On which VIT gave scholarship (first of its kind) of Rs 50000 for top Rs 10000 rank holders and Rs 25000 for top Rs 20000. The fees structure remains same through the completion of your courses while there has been minor changes in the hostel fees and mess fees this year (my second year). I don't remember what the hostel fees was this year, but I do remember that they increased the special mess fees by Rs 2000.

1)Huge Campus
2) Good Faculty, Very Few (Hope they remain by your time)
Cons
1) Labs equal to None (Many instruments are not working and we were just told to write manual without performing)
2) Industrial visit (Rarely planned industrial visit, we had only two -one at Indus university and other at Airport, which doesn't relate much to the practical/industry exposure)
3) Placements, as per my knowledge and from the words of my friends in Last year there will be no core company visiting for the branch. Let just go off core branch, who will like to work in IT local company after spending Lacs of fees.
4) Fees, The annual tuition fees will amount near approximately to 1 Lacs. A hefty amount compared to the quality. As they have deemed university they will * out small amount of money now and then during a year by showing various exam fees and so on!
Now here is my 2 cents advice to you for the Aeronautical field, After completing undergraduate you will find it very hard to get the job in core field because to be straight forward in India there are just manufacturing unit and Indian Aerospace companies being basically an IT mainly are in providing solution to big players (Airbus and Boeing) in CFD.
