If you do not have any financial problems, then you can reserve a seat in VIT. Otherwise, you can go for some good private colleges through JEE Mains score.

To get admission in biotechnology you need to appear for the engineering entrance exams for which you need mathematics paper. At the same time, biology is also required for biotechnology. Therefore, you can take PCM and biology as the extra subject.

I would suggest you to prioritize in this way - 1st JEE and then 2nd SRM.
